I bet you're all thinking...what is UCPC? Well I'll tell you. UCPC is the University Center Program Council. We are responsible for bringing programs to the students of ASU. There are 7 different committees: Arts, Cultural, Entertainment, Films, Hospitality, Recreation, and Speakers.

Arts bring events such as the Art Gallery in the Student Center. They also bring more artistic types of acts such as Edgar Cruz and the Minnesota Ballet.

Cultural is involved with being multicultural programs to the campus. This year they are in charge of a monthly Cultural Trivia Quiz.

Entertainment is the busiest committee. Entertainment brings, well Entertainment. They do a monthly coffeehouse series, lip sync competitions, talent shows, and concerts.

Films is by far the coolest committee, mainly because it is MY committee. We do the Video Library where students can check out videos from a selection of 15-20 new release titles. We also do occasional movie shows. This year we are presenting "Creature from the Black Lagoon" in 3-D. We also do a bi-monthly movie review.

Hospitality is responsible for little side events during College Days. They basically provide a little side activity while campus tours are going on. They do candy giveaways on Halloween and other novelties like Wax Hands, etc.

Recreation holds recreational activities such as 3 on 3 basketball tournaments, giant twister, and volleyball tournaments.

Speakers bring in different types of speakers. Last year they presented Patch Adams. This year they plan to bring in Angela Segal to talk about dating.
